Featured on the CryptoKid radio show and Adventures in Poor Taste

Promotional appearances for the book have officially started!

Last night I did an interview with Colin Schneider who I met at Cryptid Con earlier this year. Colin impressed me with his handle on cryptozoological history and excellent research methods. He takes a reasonable and open-minded view of these topics. We discuss our opinions about cryptids and the state of the investigatory field in this hour-long interview.

I met Russ Dobler at The Amazing Meeting in Las Vegas a few years back. We share a common geological background. He does a column for Adventures in Poor Taste, a pop culture site, where he emphasizes a more critically thoughtful approach to science-themed topics and pop culture products. This is site is so cool. Here’s the interview I did with Russ about the new book. One of my ideas is that some paranormal investigators, mainly the ones on TV, act like science LARPers.

OMG, IronMan is looking at me. He’s the coolest Avenger.

The book is out on Kindle right now and should be out in physical form VERY SOON. Please pre-order if you are interested. Thanks.

  1. “One of my ideas is that some paranormal investigators, mainly the ones on TV, act like science LARPers.”

That actually makes a lot of sense. Except (like Spiritual Warfare types, End Time Prophecy types, and lots of Social Activist types), they are in deep denial that they’re even LARPing.

And in many of these LARPs, they cast us as the Red Shirts and/or Orc Horde.
